Privacy Policy

1. Data we read

• Google account details that we need to sign you in and recognize your account.
• Encrypted Google access tokens, when you connect Google Sheets.
• Your WhatsApp number and the session data needed to keep the link working.
• Messages, group names, and member data from the groups you choose to process.
• Member names and numbers that are available when you request an export.

Grupy.chat only processes groups that your number belongs to. We do not read personal chats or other groups.

2. Data for AI models

Before Grupy.chat sends chat text to an AI model to create a summary, it masks numbers and names. These identities are replaced with pseudonyms, for example “Member 12”.

Masking does not remove all personal context that may appear in your messages. Think about what a group contains before you choose it for summaries.

An AI assistant that you connect can read your summaries and group list, based on the permissions you give. You can revoke its access from the list of connected clients.

3. Storage and retention

Chats received since a group was turned on, and history that you import, follow your plan's retention period. History from WhatsApp is stored only if it is available and received.

Raw chats and summaries are stored for up to: Free 7 days, Starter 30 days, and Pro 180 days. When the retention period ends, the data is deleted.

Grupy.chat also stores account data, quota usage, and an export audit log that records who exported which group and when. WhatsApp session keys are encrypted when stored.

Grupy.chat stores a small copy of the profile photo of each WhatsApp group that your number belongs to. We use this copy only to show the photo in your group list. The copy is deleted with its group or when your account is deleted.

4. Export files and your responsibility

Exports only include numbers that can be read. If a number is hidden or a member uses an LID identity, Grupy.chat marks it “Number not available” and does not guess the number.

Before an export, you must confirm that you will use the data for a lawful purpose, not for spam or resale. Make sure you have a legal basis to use it.

After you download it, the CSV file is on your device. You are responsible for storing it, controlling access to it, sharing it, and deleting it outside Grupy.chat.

When you choose Save to Google Sheets, Grupy sends the summary text, group name, time range, message count, language, and summary ID to a dedicated sheet in your Google Drive. The file stays there after you disconnect Google Sheets or delete your Grupy account. You manage access to it, and its deletion, through Google.

5. Your choices

You choose which groups are processed. You can unlink your number from Grupy.chat or from the Linked devices menu in WhatsApp. You can also revoke an AI assistant's permission.

You can disconnect Google Sheets from the summary page. This deletes the access token that Grupy stores. You can also revoke Grupy's permission in your Google account.

6. Ad measurement

Grupy uses Meta Pixel and the Meta Conversions API to measure Grupy ads on Facebook and Instagram. We want to know which ads lead people to sign up and pay.

Data we share with Meta:

• The Grupy pages you open.
• Your email, name, and connected WhatsApp number, in hashed form.
• Your IP address and browser type.

A hash is a scrambled code made from your data. Meta uses it to match the data to a Meta account.

Meta uses this data to measure ads and to reach people who are similar to Grupy users. We do not share message content or group names.

Grupy keeps this data in a queue for up to 7 days. Meta stores the data it receives underMeta's privacy policy.

7. Technical data to fix problems

Grupy records technical data such as page load speed, error codes, app version, and device type. We use it to find and fix problems. This data does not include message content or summaries.

8. Other services and policy changes

Google handles sign-in. WhatsApp and the AI assistants you connect have their own policies. WhatsApp can restrict or block numbers, and Grupy.chat cannot prevent that.
